On your London choice, I belive that the Ren Chancery Ct is either about to leave, or has already left, the Marriott brand. As to the other two, the JW is marginally closer to the fashionable parts of the West End (and the US Embassy), whereas the Ren St Pancras is slightly further off centre, but is newly opened in a spectacular Grade 1, C19th, building on very good Underground links. The only query I'd raise is whether all its facilities will be available by the time you arrive (i.e. Restarant). On Paris, La Defence is fine, but in a soulless location a long way from the city centre on Ligne 1; Rive Gauche is closer and in a more interesting location in the 13th Arr (I think) near Montparnasse. The only slight downside is that it is a "conference" hotel and therefore sometimes overflowing with very excitable delegates! Enjoy your trips
